Cutting Heads
Configuring a machine with the right cutting tool will drive you to be able to achieve faster processing speeds, better quality and less part-rejections. Our cutting head options range from knife tools to saws. The choice of cutting tool is often driven by a few factors including material type, application requirements and cost/part.
Spindles
Our range of spindle options is wide and covers a lot of different materials and applications. Standard HSK or ISO tool holder spindles available from 5 to 15 HP levels can be perfect for non-ferrous metals, plastics, composites and wood. Standard 24K RPM spindles allow you to use industry standard tooling though you can opt for 40K RPM if the application requires it.
Saws
Whether as an Aggregate to a spindle or as a fixed head, saws are usually less flexible than a spindle but offer unique benefits such as faster processing speeds and longer lasting tooling. Certain applications where common line cutting is desired fit this device perfectly.
Oscillating Knife Heads
Where spindles are perfect for more rigid materials, an oscillating knife can be the perfect tool for flexible materials such as corrugated cardboard or plastics and various foams. The reciprocating action allows the tool to cut through soft media quite easily. AXYZ offers a choice of either pneumatic or electric knife systems depending on the application where each device excels at one group of material better than the other
Tangential Device
The Tangential device is a highly versatile tool that can be equipped with knife-type or creasing-type tools. Knife cutting tools such as the box cutter and saber blade can be used to slice through thin cardboard, rubbers and foams. This device can also house large rotary blades like the pizza wheel which can be used for fabric-like material such as fiber glass and carbon fiber. In packaging applications, the tangential device can be equipped with various creasing wheel types which are designed specifically for certain cardboard flute types to ensure creasing effectiveness and reduce quality issues.
Drill Units
Our drill units come in different sizes ranging from a pneumatic single head drill to electrical 5 and 9 position drill banks. Specialized drilling heads are equipped with standard tooling and can provide improved workflow in operations where standard tooling and processes are used. Drill heads also operate at lower or fixed RPMs making them application-specific devices
Automatic Tool Changer (ATC)
The innovative AXYZ Automatic Tool Changer provides an effective solution to running jobs requiring multiple routing tools. The tool changer is available in either a 7, 10, 14 or 21 position configurations

Our 5Y and High Capacity (HC) dust collection devices are designed to seamlessly mount and be used with either high flow or high-pressure dust collection systems.

Vortex Cold Gun
The Vortex Cold Gun reduces heat generated by the cutting tool during the machining process

The AXYZ Nose Rider collar is used for accurately and consistently controlling the depth of cut
Pressure Foot - Bellows Seal

Safety Systems
Protecting against access into hazardous points and areas can be done through either perimeter switch mats or machine light curtains. The switch mats are designed to trigger an interlock signal when pressure has been exerted on the mat. Often surrounding the entire machine, the switch mats offer convenience and are designed to be used in industrial environments
Light Curtains
Light curtains have built-in guarding and are designed with recessed impact resistant housings that prevent damage from parts, tools and equipment. More often set up to cover specific zones of a machine (ie front, or operator side-only). The light beam is broken, and the interlock signal is enabled when the receiver station does not receive the full beam of light.
